Newly Released UFO Files by the U.S. Government

On Friday, the U.S. government disclosed a second set of previously classified documents regarding alleged UFO sightings, which include witness testimonies about strange green orbs, discs, and fireballs. This latest release follows the initial set of documents made public on May 8, as directed by President Donald Trump. These disclosures are part of a larger initiative to declassify information on unidentified flying objects that has been ongoing since the late 1970s.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth highlighted the significance of transparency in a statement accompanying the release. He remarked, “It’s time the American people see it for themselves,” underscoring the administration's commitment to unprecedented openness.

Among the 222 files released on Friday is a comprehensive 116-page report detailing investigations and sightings at a secretive facility in Sandia, New Mexico, from 1948 to 1950. This site is located near Roswell, New Mexico, which is infamous for the 1947 incident that has sparked numerous conspiracy theories regarding a potential UFO crash.

The Pentagon states that the Sandia report chronicles 209 sightings of “green orbs,” “discs,” and “fireballs” reported in proximity to the military base. The newly disclosed materials encompass documents, images, and videos pertaining to what the government now designates as “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP). Officials assert that these files have fueled public speculation for many years, and the administration aims to address longstanding inquiries through increased transparency.

This release marks the second significant unveiling of UAP-related records under the current administration, with additional batches anticipated in the upcoming months as the declassification process progresses. The complete set of documents is now accessible for public examination via official Pentagon channels.
