On Thursday, US Ambassador Sergio Gore held discussions with India's Home Minister Amit Shah. In a post on social media, Gore emphasized that their conversation primarily aimed at protecting citizens from narcotics and illegal drugs while securing borders. Shortly after returning from the G7 summit in Avignon, France, Gore met with Amit Shah. He shared a photo with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump on social media, describing the meeting as beneficial and highlighting the positive outcomes for US-India relations.
