According to locals, approximately 30 to 40 homes line this road, which is crucial for connecting Ward No. 2 with Ward No. 5. The condition of the road has worsened to the point where even walking has become a challenge, particularly affecting the elderly and children.
Community's Call for Action
Worried residents have urgently requested that the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Nurpur, the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Council President Ashok Sharma, and Vice President and Ward Councillor Rajni Mahajan prioritize the road repairs for the sake of public safety.
Vice President's Response
In response, Rajni Mahajan stated, "The heavy rains have caused significant damage to this road. We have prioritized this issue and prepared a detailed estimate on December 28, which has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner for budget approval."
Upcoming Site Inspection
Mahajan assured the community that she would conduct a site inspection soon, accompanied by Council President Ashok Sharma and the Executive Officer. She stressed that once the necessary administrative procedures are completed, construction work on the road will commence promptly to alleviate the residents' concerns.
