Upcoming Release of PM Kisan's 23rd Installment Set for June 20, 2026

The PM Kisan scheme is set to release its 23rd installment of ₹2,000 on June 20, 2026, providing essential financial support to farmers. Prime Minister Modi will announce this during the 'PM Kisan Utsav Day' in West Bengal. With over ₹4.25 lakh crores already disbursed, the scheme aims to assist small and marginal farmers across India. Eligibility criteria include being an Indian citizen, owning cultivable land, and not having a significant pension or income tax obligations. This installment is crucial for many farmers, and the event will be celebrated nationwide.
 

PM Kisan's 23rd Installment Announcement

The wait for the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan scheme is finally over. Farmers can expect the next payment of ₹2,000 to be credited to their accounts on June 20, 2026. The official X handle for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi announced that this installment will provide timely financial assistance directly to farmers' bank accounts. On March 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme in Guwahati, Assam, distributing ₹18,640 crores to 9.32 crore farmers. To date, over ₹4.25 lakh crores have been disbursed through the previous 22 installments under this initiative.


Details of the Upcoming Event

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan revealed that PM Modi will release the 23rd installment during the 'PM Kisan Utsav Day' event on June 20 at 3:45 PM in Tarakeshwar, Hooghly district, West Bengal. So far, approximately ₹4.28 lakh crores have been transferred to nearly 9.5 crore farmers through the previous installments, and over ₹18,800 crores will be distributed to farmers across the country on the 20th.


Chouhan noted that West Bengal has not received the PM Kisan funds properly due to the state government's failure to send an accurate list of beneficiaries. However, more than 44 lakh farmers will receive ₹885 crores. In Madhya Pradesh, over 21 lakh farmers will benefit from ₹1,634.88 crores as part of the 23rd installment. To date, ₹33,721 crores have been transferred to farmers in Madhya Pradesh through the previous 22 installments. The 'PM Kisan Utsav Day' will be celebrated at all 731 agricultural science centers, agricultural schools, and state-level events across the country, with participation from Chief Ministers and Union Ministers, along with local programs at the state and village levels.


Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Scheme

To qualify for the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan scheme, individuals must meet the following criteria:


- Must be an Indian citizen


- Must own cultivable land


- Must be a small or marginal farmer


- Should not be a retired individual receiving a pension of at least ₹10,000 per month


- Must not have filed income tax


- Must not own institutional land.
