The nationwide promotional campaign for the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2026) was inaugurated today with a grand roadshow in New Delhi. This event marks the first phase of a comprehensive initiative aimed at connecting the industrial community, exporters, buyers, trade organizations, and investors with UPITS 2026.

Significance of UPITS

It is noteworthy that the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) has established itself as one of the most influential state-level trade events in the country. Jointly organized by the Uttar Pradesh government and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), this annual flagship event has emerged as a key platform for global trade, investment, and industrial opportunities. Following the historic success of its previous three editions, UPITS 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

This event has played a crucial role in energizing the MSME sector, giving global recognition to ODOP products, and creating new business opportunities. As Uttar Pradesh rapidly moves towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy, UPITS is proving to be a major engine for trade, investment, and economic growth.”

Meanwhile, MSME State Minister Hansraj Vishwakarma called for maximum participation, stating, “India's rich tradition of trade fairs and markets has empowered artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs for centuries. UPITS is a modern and global manifestation of that heritage. It is not just a trade show but a robust economic bridge connecting Uttar Pradesh to the world.”

Principal Secretary of MSME and Export Promotion Department Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil emphasized that UPITS symbolizes the Uttar Pradesh government's vision to make the state a preferred global destination for trade, manufacturing, exports, and investment. He noted that the roadshow series would strengthen dialogue and partnerships with the industry across the country.

International Participation and Future Prospects

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, President of India Exposition Mart Limited, stated, “The unprecedented success of the previous three editions has proven that the industry and business community's trust in UPITS is continuously growing. This platform has been highly successful in bringing together manufacturers, exporters, startups, artisans, investors, and policymakers. We are confident that UPITS 2026 will set new benchmarks for participation and business opportunities.”

Additionally, FIEO's Additional Director General Suvid Shah highlighted the international significance of the event, noting the increasing global interest in emerging products and business opportunities from Uttar Pradesh. He affirmed FIEO's commitment to connecting more international buyers and providing Indian exporters access to new global markets.

Previous Success and Future Events

It is worth mentioning that the last edition of UPITS, held in September 2025, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised the event's role in promoting MSMEs, empowering local enterprises, and advancing the 'Make in India, Make for the World' initiative.

The growing popularity of UPITS is evident from its expanding statistics. The 2025 edition attracted over 500,000 visitors, including more than 140,000 B2B visitors. A total of 2,228 exhibitors showcased their products and services across more than 35,000 square meters. Numerous business meetings and significant commercial agreements have positioned UPITS among the most influential trade events in the country.

On an international scale, UPITS has also made a strong mark. The last edition saw participation from over 550 foreign buyers from 85 countries, further solidifying Uttar Pradesh's status as an emerging global sourcing hub.

Upcoming Roadshows and Initiatives

The Delhi roadshow marks the beginning of a comprehensive promotional series that will take place in various states across the country in the coming months. The objective of these roadshows is to enhance participation from domestic and international buyers, promote inter-state trade, encourage sourcing from Indian enterprises, and accelerate the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

UPITS 2026 will showcase Uttar Pradesh's industrial strength, MSME capabilities, ODOP products, innovation, export potential, culture, handicrafts, tourism, and emerging industrial sectors on a single platform. The upcoming edition is also expected to give special emphasis to initiatives like 'One District One Cuisine' (ODOC).

Conclusion

As Uttar Pradesh rapidly progresses towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy and plays a significant role in India's national resolve to become a developed nation by 2047, UPITS 2026 is fully prepared to elevate trade, investment, exports, innovation, and global partnerships to new heights.
