Unusual Wedding Dispute in Uttar Pradesh: Dog Barking Leads to Chaos
A Shocking Incident in Fatehpur
In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, an astonishing and bizarre incident unfolded during what was supposed to be a joyous wedding celebration. The atmosphere, filled with music and laughter, quickly turned chaotic. The cause was not an old feud or dowry issues, but rather a pet dog belonging to the bride's family. The barking of the dog sparked a fierce argument between the two families, escalating to the point where chairs and sticks were used as weapons. Ultimately, the wedding had to be called off. However, the story took an unexpected turn when the bride took matters into her own hands, creating a sensation in the area.
From Love Marriage to Arranged Ceremony
This dramatic tale began in January when Tanya Kesarwani and her partner Sumit eloped to Kanpur against their families' wishes. After some reconciliation, both families agreed to hold a grand wedding ceremony on February 18 in Fatehpur, showcasing traditional Hindu customs. Everything seemed to be going according to plan, and both sides were immersed in celebration.
Chaos Erupts at 4 AM
According to the groom, Sumit, the incident occurred around 4 AM during the jewelry ceremony. The bride's pet dog arrived and began barking loudly. Frustrated by the noise, a young man from the groom's side struck the dog in anger. This act infuriated the bride's family, leading to a heated argument between the two sides.
Violence Breaks Out, Injuries Reported
What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a violent clash. Both families turned against each other, and chairs became weapons in the ensuing chaos. A total of eight individuals, including women, were severely injured, with three from the bride's side suffering head injuries. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Wedding Cancelled, Bride Takes a Stand
Following the brawl, the matter was taken to the Khaga police station in Fatehpur. Both families mutually agreed to end the relationship and cancel the wedding ceremony. However, the real twist came when Tanya refused to accept this decision. Five days after the wedding was called off, she secretly left her parental home in Prayagraj and went directly to her in-laws' house.
When her in-laws refused to let her stay and insisted she return home, Tanya and Sumit recorded a video together and shared it on social media. In the video, Tanya clearly stated that they had legally married in January, and the February ceremony was merely a social formality, asserting that no one could force her out of the house. This unusual case has become a hot topic of discussion throughout the district.
