From Love Marriage to Arranged Ceremony

This dramatic tale began in January when Tanya Kesarwani and her partner Sumit eloped to Kanpur against their families' wishes. After some reconciliation, both families agreed to hold a grand wedding ceremony on February 18 in Fatehpur, showcasing traditional Hindu customs. Everything seemed to be going according to plan, and both sides were immersed in celebration.

Chaos Erupts at 4 AM

According to the groom, Sumit, the incident occurred around 4 AM during the jewelry ceremony. The bride's pet dog arrived and began barking loudly. Frustrated by the noise, a young man from the groom's side struck the dog in anger. This act infuriated the bride's family, leading to a heated argument between the two sides.

Violence Breaks Out, Injuries Reported

What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a violent clash. Both families turned against each other, and chairs became weapons in the ensuing chaos. A total of eight individuals, including women, were severely injured, with three from the bride's side suffering head injuries. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Five days after the wedding was called off, she secretly left her parental home in Prayagraj and went directly to her in-laws' house.

When her in-laws refused to let her stay and insisted she return home, Tanya and Sumit recorded a video together and shared it on social media.
