In a conversation with a news outlet, Riya expressed that the medal symbolizes pride not just for their family but also for their state, country, college, school, and the forest department. She reminisced about the dedication and obstacles Unnati has faced throughout her journey. "We are all incredibly proud of her achievements. She has worked tirelessly since childhood, overcoming various challenges. Although she faced some struggles before this medal, her victory has brought joy to us all. While we aimed for gold, we are still elated with the bronze," Riya stated.

Riya noted that Unnati has been involved in judo since the fifth grade, dedicating nearly 10 to 15 years to the sport. "Her goal was to earn a medal at the Commonwealth Games, and she has achieved that. Now, she aims for the Olympics, and I believe she will succeed," she added.
