This belief is the reason why the entire village continues to observe this custom. However, there have been some changes over time; in the past, women would not wear any clothing at all, but now they opt for a thin woolen fabric known as 'pattu' instead.

The Story Behind the Tradition

The demon was ultimately defeated by the deity Lahuwa, who is believed to still visit the village to eliminate evil.
