Guwahati, Dec 23: On Monday, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the home of the late Prafulla Govinda Baruah, the esteemed Chairman Emeritus of a prominent media group, to express his condolences to the grieving family.

During his visit, Sonowal remarked, “PG Baruah was a pioneer in Indian journalism whose visionary leadership significantly advanced the field, emphasizing the media's crucial role as a cornerstone of democracy.
