Unconventional Love Story: Grandmother Elopes with Grandson
A Love That Defies Age
Love knows no boundaries, including age. A peculiar situation has emerged in Uttar Pradesh, where a grandmother has fallen for a man young enough to be her grandson. This unusual romance has raised eyebrows, but it is indeed a reality.
A 52-year-old mother of four has left her husband and children to elope with a 25-year-old man, who is related to her as a grandson. The couple has even tied the knot.
This marks the woman's third marriage. Reports indicate that just ten days ago, she ran away with her grandson-like partner from a Dalit settlement. Indravati, the woman in question, was married to Chandrashekhar for 20 years, with whom she has a daughter and two sons.
This was Indravati's second marriage; she had a daughter from her first marriage, who was wed by Chandrashekhar two years ago. Over the years, Indravati's feelings for Chandrashekhar faded, leading her to fall in love with Azad, a 25-year-old who is considered her grandson.
Perceptions of Their Relationship
According to villagers, the two share a grandmother-grandson relationship due to their shared village and caste. Their love story reached the police just two days ago, but undeterred by family and societal pressures, they married at a temple last Sunday. Following the wedding, both families and community members have decided to boycott the couple.
Allegations of a Conspiracy
Chandrashekhar, Indravati's husband, claims he was working in another city for his livelihood. During his absence, his wife developed a relationship with Azad, who lived nearby. Upon returning home, he discovered the affair. Chandrashekhar alleges that his wife and her lover were plotting to harm him and their children, intending to poison them. Fortunately, he learned of their plan in time to save himself and the children.
