Unbelievable Florida Case: Inmates Welcome a Baby Without Meeting
Miracle Baby Story from Florida
A remarkable case from Florida has captured attention on social media, showcasing an extraordinary situation where two inmates managed to have a baby without ever meeting. This unusual story has left many astonished.
Interestingly, both individuals were incarcerated in separate cells and had never crossed paths. The incident came to light when 29-year-old Daisy Link discovered she was pregnant. Following this revelation, the Miami-Dade Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation initiated an internal investigation at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Birth of the Miracle Baby
Daisy Link gave birth to a baby girl on June 19 of the previous year, who is now referred to as the 'Miracle Baby.' The delivery took place at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the child is currently under the care of Link's family. Both parents are awaiting trial on separate murder charges.
What’s particularly strange is that 23-year-old Joan Depaz and Daisy Link have never met face-to-face. Their communication began through the prison's ventilation system, which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. Reports indicate that they exchanged notes and photos via the vent connecting their cells, allowing them to bond over time. Link mentioned that their lengthy conversations helped them cope with the isolation.
Their relationship deepened, leading Depaz to express his desire for a family. He stated, 'I have always wanted a child, and I know I won't be able to do this for long. If I had to choose someone, it would be Link.' Link agreed to this plan.
