A Shocking Medical Incident

Can a male become pregnant? This question has arisen after a young man from Uttar Pradesh was reportedly declared pregnant by doctors. The circumstances surrounding this unusual case remain unclear, but the individual has received a pregnancy certificate, leaving him in shock. Since the announcement, he has been distressed, crying and seeking relief from the ridicule he faces from those who hear about his situation.

The 22-year-old, named Darshan, works at a cement factory in Aligarh district. He had been suffering from severe abdominal pain for several days, prompting him to seek medical help. Exhausted from the pain, he visited the Sunrise Hospital located on Ramghat Road in Aligarh. After examining him, the doctors recommended an ultrasound due to the intensity of his discomfort. When the results came back, even the attending physician was astonished to discover that the cause of his pain was a fetus in his abdomen.

The ultrasound report indicated that the pregnancy was located in the fallopian tube, and there was also swelling in his kidney tube. Upon learning of his pregnancy, Darshan was left bewildered, unable to comprehend how this could have happened.

Following advice from some acquaintances, he approached the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the District Magistrate to file a complaint regarding the alleged mockery he faced at the hospital. Darshan is extremely upset about this situation and has lodged a formal complaint against the nursing home. The report suggests that a pregnancy in the fallopian tube is not viable and typically requires termination within two to two and a half months to prevent complications. The ultrasound report confirmed the pregnancy but also noted the swelling in the kidney tube. Some medical professionals speculate that there may have been a mix-up with another patient's report before printing. This serious negligence has left Darshan mentally distressed, and he is in a state of despair. Dr. Alok Gupta, responsible for the report, has admitted to the error.
