UAE's Stance on Regional Conflict
On March 7, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), made his first public remarks regarding the recent attacks from Iran, declaring that the nation is currently "in a time of war." He emphasized the UAE's commitment to protecting its citizens and residents, asserting that the country is not an "easy target." He stated, "The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh—we are no easy prey," and pledged to uphold his responsibilities towards the nation and its people.
During his address, Zayed Al Nahyan praised the Emirati military and citizens for their resilience amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He assured the public, "I promise everyone that we will come back stronger and more resilient after this situation," as reported by local media.
On the same day, the President visited injured individuals at a local hospital, expressing his concern: "I came to visit the people who were wounded in the recent events. All of these people are a responsibility on my shoulders," he remarked.
In a post on X, he reassured all residents and visitors in the UAE, stating, "The UAE places its security and the protection of all citizens, residents, and visitors at the very top of its priorities. With God’s grace, the UAE is fully prepared to confront these threats." He expressed gratitude towards the armed forces and security services for their dedication to maintaining safety in the country.
