During questioning, they claimed their actions were a form of discipline for the child's frequent absences from the madrasa. Arrest of Madrasa Teachers Following Assault Video

Authorities in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, announced the arrest of two madrasa teachers on Saturday for their involvement in the alleged beating of a child.

The incident reportedly occurred six months ago, but a video depicting the assault gained significant attention on social media on Friday. Following this, a local resident lodged a police complaint, prompting the filing of a first information report.

The complainant indicated that the video appeared to be filmed at a madrasa located near his residence. The footage showed one teacher striking a child with a stick while another restrained him.

The arrested individuals have been named as Junaid and Shoaib.

During their interrogation, the teachers claimed they disciplined the boy for frequently leaving the madrasa and returning later. They also alleged that the video was recorded by another teacher who shared it after departing from the institution.
