Intense Encounter in Abujhmad Forests

In a significant operation on Wednesday night, security forces engaged in a fierce encounter in the dense forests of the Abujhmad area, located in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of two female Naxalites. According to police reports released on Thursday, this operation was conducted by a joint team comprising the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF), targeting senior Maoists linked to the Mard Division.


Officials indicated that the security forces were deployed for an anti-Naxal operation following intelligence reports about the presence of Maoists in the Abujhmad region. The encounter commenced on Wednesday evening as the security personnel were patrolling the area.


Details of the Operation

During the confrontation, the security forces successfully neutralized two female Naxals. They recovered the bodies of the insurgents along with an INSAS rifle, a .315 rifle, medical supplies, and other materials associated with the Naxalites from the scene. Authorities confirmed that operations against Naxal activities in the region are ongoing, and further information is being gathered.
