Arrests Made in Nurpur District Theft

Authorities in Nurpur district have successfully apprehended two individuals linked to a theft incident reported at the Fatehpur Police Station.


The incident (Case No. 125/25, filed on December 29, 2025) was initiated under Sections 331(4) and 305 BNS following a complaint from Suman Devi, the spouse of Ved Prakash, who resides in Bhadvada village, Fatehpur, Kangra district. She claimed that six brass utensils were stolen from her family home and pointed to her relative’s son, Hardeep Singh, also known as Meetu, as the perpetrator.


After conducting a detailed investigation and utilizing technical resources, law enforcement officials arrested Hardeep Singh, son of Gagan Singh from Bhadvada, along with another suspect, Prince Panjari, son of Malkit Singh from Hara village, Fatehpur. Both were taken into custody on December 31, 2025.


Officials have stated that the case is progressing through the legal system as required.


The Nurpur Police have urged community members to report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods to aid in preventing future crimes.
