Two Arrested for Smuggling Cannabis Worth ₹8 Crore at International Airport

Authorities have apprehended two individuals at the international airport for allegedly smuggling cannabis valued at approximately ₹8 crore. This information was disclosed by the customs department on Friday.
According to officials, the suspects were intercepted on Tuesday at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport after arriving from Hanoi, Vietnam.
The officers seized nine packets of a green substance, suspected to be cannabis, weighing a total of 7.7 kilograms. It was reported that the contraband was cleverly concealed within a pink trolley bag.
In a post on the social media platform 'X', the department stated, 'Upon investigation, the substance appeared to be cannabis at first glance.' Both suspects have been arrested, and the prohibited material worth ₹7.77 crore has been confiscated.
