Trump's Warning on Tariffs Targeting Chinese Arms Sales to Iran
Trump Addresses Potential Tariffs on Chinese Goods
President Donald Trump of the United States has indicated that his recent threat to impose a 50% tariff on products from nations supplying arms to Iran is primarily directed at China. During an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Trump mentioned he had received information suggesting that China might be providing anti-aircraft "shoulder missiles" to Iran. While he expressed skepticism about the likelihood of China actually supplying such weapons, he made it clear that any such actions would result in significant tariffs on their goods. Trump stated, "I doubt they would do that, because I have a relationship, and I think they wouldn't do that, but maybe they did a little bit at the beginning. But if we catch them doing that, they get a 50% tariff."
