Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Over Strait of Hormuz
Escalating Tensions in the Middle East
Washington: President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran on Wednesday, indicating that military action could escalate if the nation does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz. This statement follows reports suggesting that a potential agreement to conclude hostilities is on the horizon.
In a social media post, Trump hinted that the conflict with Iran might soon reach a resolution, allowing for the resumption of oil and natural gas exports. However, he emphasized that this outcome hinges on Iran's acceptance of unspecified terms.
Trump cautioned, "If they don’t comply, the bombing will commence, and it will be, unfortunately, at a significantly higher level and intensity than before."
He also noted that it might be a "big assumption" to believe Iran would agree to the proposed conditions from the United States.
