Trump Expresses Discontent with Israel and Iran Over Ceasefire Violations
Trump's Critique of Israel and Iran
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump voiced his dissatisfaction with both Israel and Iran, citing their breaches of a ceasefire agreement. He expressed disappointment in Israel for abandoning the accord and launching a series of airstrikes.
Trump remarked, "Both countries have violated the terms. As soon as we reached an agreement, Israel resumed its bombing... We have two nations entrenched in conflict for so long that they seem lost in their actions."
He added, "I am not pleased with Israel's recent military actions. There was a rocket that was fired but missed its intended target. Now Israel is escalating its response. They need to de-escalate. It's absurd. I was not in favor of Israel's aggressive stance right after we struck the deal... That’s not the direction we want to take."
Earlier, Trump took to Truth Social to warn, "Israel, refrain from dropping those bombs. If you do, it constitutes a significant violation. Bring your pilots home immediately! Donald J. Trump, President of the United States."
