Cairo: President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and Lebanon have reached an agreement for a ceasefire lasting 10 days, effective from later Thursday.


The ceasefire is set to commence at 5 PM Eastern Time, according to Trump's statement.


The president shared this news on social media, highlighting that the decision came after 'excellent' discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
