Trump Addresses Nuclear Weapon Speculations Amid Middle East Tensions

In a recent statement, President Trump addressed rising tensions in the Middle East, firmly rejecting any speculation about the use of nuclear weapons against Iran. He emphasized U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz and the effectiveness of the naval blockade against Iran. Trump expressed confidence in the military's success against Iran while highlighting the need for a lasting peace agreement. His comments reflect a strategic approach to U.S. foreign policy in the region, aiming to pressure Iran into negotiations while maintaining control over vital oil routes.

Trump's Firm Stance on Nuclear Weapons

In light of escalating tensions in the Middle East, U.S. President Donald Trump has made a significant statement. He has dismissed all speculations regarding the use of nuclear weapons against Iran, asserting that such weapons should "never be used against anyone." This clarification comes amidst ongoing concerns that the U.S. might consider nuclear options against the Islamic Republic as conflicts in the region continue to intensify.

Control Over the Strait of Hormuz

Speaking to reporters at the White House, the 79-year-old leader reiterated that the U.S. maintains "full control" over the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial passageway for nearly one-fifth of the world's crude oil. He mentioned that Washington has intentionally kept this route closed to increase pressure on Iran, encouraging them to engage in negotiations and accept a peace agreement.

Rejection of Nuclear Weapon Use

"Why would such a foolish question be asked? No, I will not use it. No one should ever be allowed to use nuclear weapons," Trump stated, emphasizing once again that the Islamic Republic must not possess nuclear bombs.

Iran's Military and Economic Status

In his remarks, Trump also claimed that the Iranian military is completely defeated and that the naval blockade against them is "100 percent effective." He noted that Iran's economy is struggling, suggesting that they are eager for a peace deal, although he expressed uncertainty about their leadership, which he believes is in disarray.

Future of Military Engagement

When asked about the potential duration of the conflict, Trump indicated that he had already incapacitated Iran militarily within the first four weeks. He warned that if Iran fails to reach an agreement, he would target the remaining 25 percent of objectives. According to Trump, the U.S. has already achieved 78 percent of its intended military goals.

Desire for a Lasting Agreement

"I gave them a chance. I want to make the best deal possible. I can still negotiate. Even if I step back now, we have achieved tremendous success. It would take them 20 years to recover, but I don’t want that. I want this agreement to last forever," he stated.

Control Over Oil Passage

He further elaborated, "We will open the strait. Right now, we have it closed. We have complete control over it... They could have opened it three days ago. They came to us and said, 'We agree to open the strait.' Everyone except me was happy. I said, 'Wait a minute, if we open the strait, it means they will earn $500 million every day.' I don’t want them to earn that until they resolve this issue.
