Tripura Legislative Assembly Monsoon Session Set to Begin on September 19
Upcoming Monsoon Session Details
Agartala, August 24: The Monsoon Session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly is slated to start on September 19, although the exact length of the session is yet to be determined. This decision was made during a recent Cabinet meeting, and a formal notification will be issued soon following the Governor's approval.
As per sources from the Assembly, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), which includes representatives from all political parties, predominantly from the ruling party, will be held shortly to finalize the legislative agenda.
Officials have indicated that the session must commence on September 19 in accordance with constitutional mandates that require an Assembly meeting at least once every six months.
While the official agenda is still being developed, there is significant anticipation among State Government employees regarding a potential announcement concerning dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) during this session.
With only a few days left before the Assembly Session concludes and the October 31 deadline imposed by the 16th Finance Commission for financial announcements, the timing is critical.
This upcoming session is expected to attract considerable attention, as it will likely address both legislative matters and employee welfare initiatives.
