Asmita Dey won the women's -48kg gold medal by defeating Canada's Heidi Quach in a thrilling final at the Commonwealth Games, which was decided in Golden Score, marking India's first judo gold medal at these Games.
She was later joined on the podium by fellow athletes Harsh Singh, who also won gold, Yamini Mourya, who secured silver, and Unnati Sharma, who took home bronze, contributing to a total of four judo medals for India.
