Tripura CM Encourages Youth to Embrace Voluntary Blood Donation and Sports

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has called on the youth to actively participate in voluntary blood donation, emphasizing its significance as a humanitarian act. During a recent event, he unveiled statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda while inaugurating a blood donation camp. Saha highlighted the role of sports in enhancing socio-economic status and urged greater youth involvement in both sports and social welfare activities to foster a drug-free society. The event saw the presence of notable figures from the sports community, showcasing Tripura's commitment to promoting health and patriotism.
 

Promoting Humanity Through Blood Donation

On Friday, Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation as a hallmark of humanity. He urged the younger generation to actively participate in advancing the blood donation movement within the state. "Currently, blood donation initiatives have become ingrained in our culture. We need greater participation in these programs," he stated, as reported by the Tripura Chief Minister's Office.


Inauguration of Statues and Blood Donation Camp

During the event, CM Saha unveiled marble statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda while inaugurating a blood donation camp at the Netaji Subhas Regional Coaching Centre (NSRCC). This camp was organized by the Tripura Sports Council.


Embodying Patriotism and Humanity

Saha remarked that both Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda exemplify patriotism and humanitarian values. He noted, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicated to the nation's development, drawing inspiration from the principles of Vivekananda and Netaji. The more individuals embrace these ideals, both personally and socially, the better our society will be guided towards progress."


Creating a Positive Social Environment

The Chief Minister highlighted that voluntary blood donation fosters a positive atmosphere within society. He stated, "Increased youth involvement in sports and social welfare initiatives will expedite the creation of a drug-free and revitalized Tripura."


Sports as a Path to Socio-Economic Growth

Saha also pointed out that alongside education, sports can significantly enhance one's socio-economic status. He emphasized, "Success in sports requires both physical and mental strength. Prime Minister Modi has prioritized yoga to bolster the physical and mental well-being of the youth in our country."

The Chief Minister celebrated the achievements of Tripura's athletes, noting their recognition on both national and international platforms.
