Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Champions BJP's Vision in Silchar Ahead of Elections
BJP's Growing Influence in Silchar
Silchar, Mar 29: On Sunday, Tripura's Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the BJP's expanding political presence while endorsing Dr. Rajdeep Roy, the party's candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections in Silchar.
During his campaign in Silchar, Dr. Saha pointed out that the BJP's consistent growth across various states is a testament to its effective governance model, which is built on strong leadership and organizational strength.
He praised Dr. Roy's qualifications as a respected physician and former Member of Parliament, asserting that the electorate has already experienced his leadership and now has the chance to further enhance development.
Dr. Saha acknowledged the significant advancements in Silchar over recent years, attributing these improvements to the BJP-led administration under Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, while emphasizing the necessity for an even greater push.
“Silchar has the potential to become a model constituency in the near future,” he stated, framing the election as not only a local development initiative but also part of the BJP's broader political strategy.
He urged voters to support the party, calling for a strong mandate in favor of Dr. Roy, and linking the future growth of Silchar to the BJP's overall expansion narrative.
Reflecting on his experiences attending oath-taking ceremonies of BJP governments, he highlighted the party's growth from states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra to Delhi and Odisha, confidently asserting that “Assam will continue on this trajectory, with West Bengal being the next state to witness BJP's influence.”
In a pointed critique of the Trinamool Congress, Dr. Saha accused the party of becoming a “carbon copy” of the CPI(M), albeit employing more aggressive strategies. He noted that the political landscape in West Bengal is changing, indicating a growing opportunity for the BJP.
While outlining a broader political vision, the Tripura Chief Minister remained focused on local issues in Silchar, describing Dr. Rajdeep Roy as an “astute and sincere leader.”
