The Governor of Telangana, Vishnu Dev Varma, unveiled a portrait of former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao at the Raj Bhavan on the eve of his birth anniversary. During the ceremony, the Governor paid homage to Rao's legacy, describing him as a transformative figure in India's modern history. He praised Rao for initiating economic liberalization, strengthening foreign policy, and advancing the education sector.

On the occasion of P.V. Narasimha Rao's 104th birth anniversary, the Congress party paid tribute to him, highlighting his visionary leadership. P.V. Narasimha Rao was born in 1921 in Karimnagar, Telangana. Today marks his 104th birth anniversary. He served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1971 to 1973 and held various ministerial positions in the central government, including Minister of External Affairs, Home Minister, Defence Minister, and Minister of Human Resource Development. He was the Prime Minister of India from June 21, 1991, to May 16, 1996, and passed away in Delhi in 2004.
