Dignitaries Honor Vajpayee's Memory

On Sunday, former Indian men's hockey captain Sardar Singh honored the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during a prayer meeting held at 'Sadaiv Atal' in New Delhi, marking his death anniversary.


In an interview, Sardar Singh expressed his pride in attending the event, noting the presence of numerous esteemed leaders. He remarked, "It was a wonderful experience. Today, we paid our respects to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the love shown for him was truly uplifting."


Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid floral tributes at the memorial 'Sadaiv Atal' in honor of Vajpayee. The ceremony was attended by President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, and other senior officials.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a distinguished figure in Indian politics, served as Prime Minister across three terms. His initial term began briefly in 1996, followed by two consecutive terms from 1998 to 2004.
