In Jaipur, on the eve of Florence Nightingale's birthday, the Rajasthan Nurses Association paid homage by lighting lamps in front of her statue. They also reiterated their demand for the establishment of a separate nursing directorate to strengthen the nursing system in the state.
On Monday evening, officials from the Rajasthan Nurses Association placed garlands at the statue of Miss Florence Nightingale located at the Rajasthan Nursing Council. They lit candles and offered floral tributes, pledging their dedication to nursing services.
Call for a Separate Nursing Directorate
Manoj Dubbi, the acting state president of the Rajasthan Nurses Association, shared that the event was organized under the leadership of state president Khushiram and Jaipur district president Pradeep Nimrot. He emphasized that Florence Nightingale symbolizes nursing service, and it is essential to enhance the nursing system in Rajasthan by following her ideals.
During the event, the association reiterated its request to the state government for the establishment of a separate nursing directorate. Officials stated that while the number of nurses in Rajasthan is steadily increasing, a dedicated directorate is crucial for addressing their administrative and professional issues. This would enhance the quality of nursing services and ensure prompt resolution of nurses' problems.
Numerous officials from the Rajasthan Nurses Association and nursing staff attended the event in large numbers.
