Travelers Returning from Dubai Report Calm Amid Regional Tensions
Travelers Share Experiences from Dubai
Passengers arriving in India from Dubai have shared reassuring news regarding the situation there, despite the escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States. Upon landing at Delhi Airport, many travelers expressed that life in Dubai remains largely unaffected and calm.
One traveler remarked, “The situation is normal. Occasionally, sirens sound, and alerts advise staying indoors, but daily life continues as usual. I witnessed missiles being intercepted in the sky. There hasn’t been any significant impact on the ground.”
Other passengers echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the strength of the UAE's air defense system. Most missiles and drones launched from Iran are reportedly destroyed mid-air. Another passenger noted, “You can hear explosions, but there’s no direct threat to civilians. People are following advice to stay indoors, yet shops and essential services are operational.”
While some travelers faced disruptions due to flight cancellations and rescheduling, airlines have since resumed services. Many expressed gratitude towards the Indian government and airlines for ensuring their safe return home.
According to the travelers, the alarming scenes portrayed in the media do not reflect the actual calmness in Dubai. One individual stated, “There is fear, but Dubai's defense system is so effective that most threats are neutralized in the air. There’s no reason for excessive worry.”
This is not the first time that conditions in the Middle East have impacted travelers, but those returning maintain that Dubai still feels safe and normal.
