Transition from UTS to RailOne App for Train Ticket Booking

As the Holi festival approaches, travelers are advised of significant changes in train ticket booking. The UTS app will cease operations on March 1, 2026, requiring users to switch to the RailOne app for general and platform ticket bookings. This transition aims to streamline services and reduce confusion by consolidating features into a single app. Existing UTS users can easily migrate their accounts to RailOne without needing to create new credentials. Discover how to book your tickets seamlessly on the new platform and ensure a hassle-free travel experience this Holi.

Planning to Travel Home for Holi? Important Changes in Ticket Booking

Are you considering a trip home for the Holi festival but haven't secured your train tickets yet? Starting from March 1, 2026, the UTS app will no longer allow bookings for general and platform tickets. According to Indian Railways, the UTS app will be discontinued, and travelers will need to switch to the RailOne app for their ticketing needs. This means that from March 1, you won't be able to book general tickets or access any services through the UTS app.

What Should UTS Users Do?

If you previously booked general or platform tickets using the UTS app, it's time to transition to the RailOne app. This comprehensive app offers various travel-related services, including ticket bookings, all in one place. Users of the UTS or IRCTC apps will not need to create a new account; your existing username and password will work on RailOne as well.

Why is the UTS App Being Discontinued?

The UTS app was primarily used for booking general and unreserved tickets. Indian Railways aims to simplify the user experience by consolidating features into the RailOne app, eliminating the need for multiple apps for different tasks. This change is intended to reduce confusion among passengers and provide all necessary services in one location.
