Incident Overview

On Friday afternoon, two coaches of the Muzaffarpur-Sabarwati Jan Sadharan Express derailed between Kanpur and Tundla. This information was confirmed by officials from the railway ministry.


An official stated, "So far, there have been no reports of injuries. Two coaches, including a trolley coach, went off the tracks on the loop line."


The derailment occurred at Bhaupur yard at 4:20 PM, affecting the fifth and sixth coaches of the train.


Repair operations have commenced promptly, and railway officials from Kanpur have arrived at the scene. Additionally, the General Manager and the Divisional Railway Manager of the North Central Railway zone have also reached the location.
