Accident Overview


A devastating incident unfolded late last night on the Jandrighat–Karenlu road in Dalhousie, where a vehicle transporting six young tourists plunged into a gorge. The group, consisting of three males and three females, hailed from various districts in Punjab, including Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Barnala, and Ferozepur.


Upon receiving the distress call, local police swiftly arrived at the scene, discovering the victims scattered around the wreckage in the stream below. All six individuals were promptly rescued and transported to the Civil Hospital in Dalhousie.


Tragically, medical staff pronounced one boy and one girl dead upon their arrival at the hospital. Two others, a boy and a girl, sustained severe injuries and were subsequently referred to Pathankot for specialized medical care. The remaining two individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital in Dalhousie.


Authorities have filed a case and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
