Heartbreaking Incident in Annojiguda

Experiencing heartbreak in love is often bearable, but the pain becomes unimaginable when a trusted individual takes their own life. A shocking incident occurred in Annojiguda, Medchal district, where a young woman committed suicide after rejecting a marriage proposal from a man. It is alleged that the man, feeling rejected, injected her with HIV-infected blood, leading to her mental distress and eventual suicide.

The 24-year-old victim, Ramani, had met a man named Manohar, who proposed marriage to her. She politely declined his offer. Following this, a dispute arose between them on the 11th of last month. Angered by her rejection, Manohar reportedly committed this heinous act. In addition to attacking her, he is accused of injecting her with HIV-infected blood.

Struggling with Mental Distress
The aftermath of this horrific event left Ramani in a state of mental turmoil. Concerns about her health and the societal pressures of living with such trauma overwhelmed her. Since then, she had been isolating herself and suffering in silence. In this vulnerable state, she took her own life by hanging herself when no one was home. Although her family rushed her to Ghatkesar Hospital, doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.

Police Arrest the Accused
Based on the complaint filed by the victim's father, the police registered a case and arrested Manohar, who is currently in custody. However, the case took a new turn following Ramani's suicide. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy. Investigators are now looking into whether the blood was indeed HIV-infected or if it was merely a scare tactic. Her parents are devastated, having lost their daughter, who had aspirations of pursuing higher education.
