Tragic Suicide of Chartered Accountant in Telangana Linked to Gambling Losses

Found in a hotel room, he had purchased helium gas and inhaled it, following methods he had seen online. Despite attempts by relatives to assist him, he had sold his flat in Hyderabad, indicating the depth of his financial troubles. Chartered Accountant's Distressing End in Siddipet

Hyderabad, August 5 - A chartered accountant in Siddipet district, Telangana, reportedly took his own life after suffering significant losses in gambling. Authorities disclosed this information on Wednesday. The individual, aged 33, was discovered deceased in a hotel room on Tuesday.


According to a senior police official, the deceased was a resident of Siddipet and employed at a company in Hyderabad. The officer revealed that he purchased a helium gas cylinder from Bal Nagar and inhaled the gas using a mask in his hotel room on August 1. It was noted that he had also watched videos on YouTube related to this method.


The police reported that hotel staff alerted them on August 4 after repeatedly knocking on the door without receiving any response. Upon arrival, officers entered the room through a window and found him lifeless. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, in which he allegedly expressed his decision to end his life due to financial losses from gambling.


Based on initial investigations, the officer indicated that the man had a gambling addiction and had incurred substantial financial losses. Although his relatives had provided some assistance in recovering from these losses, he had even sold his flat in Hyderabad.
