Fatal Stabbing in Bhajanpura


New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in the Bhajanpura area of northeast Delhi during the night between Monday and Tuesday, as reported by officials. Authorities are currently working to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this violent act.


The stabbing took place near a local temple, which prompted immediate police notification.


By the time the Delhi Police arrived at the scene, the victim had already been rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital by his relatives.


The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Asif, who lived in Subhash Mohalla, Bhajanpura.


Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care at the hospital, according to officials.


Farooq, the victim's brother, recounted the events, stating, "I witnessed a group fighting with my brother. I attempted to intervene, and they backed off. Shortly after, while I was at a feast, I received a call informing me that my brother had been stabbed."


"My family took him to the hospital, but the doctors were unable to save him," he added.


Farooq mentioned that the family does not know the identities of the attackers.


A forensic team has visited the site to gather evidence as part of the ongoing investigation. The body has been sent to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for a post-mortem examination.


The police have registered a case under FIR No. 129/26 at Bhajanpura Police Station, invoking relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Multiple teams have been assigned to locate and apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.
