Tragic School Van Accident in Rajasthan Claims One Life and Injures Six

Jaipur, July 29: A heartbreaking road accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Thikariya region of Banswara, Rajasthan, resulting in the death of a schoolchild and injuring at least six others when a school van collided with a stationary truck.
The children, hailing from Janamedi, Bahubali Colony, and the Housing Board area, were en route to school when the tragic event unfolded.
The force of the crash was so intense that the front of the van was entirely crushed.
Upon hearing the children's desperate cries, local villagers and bystanders rushed to assist, freeing the trapped students and alerting the authorities.
A police team from Raja Talab station quickly arrived at the scene and, with the help of community members, transported all injured children to the District Hospital.
The victim has been identified as Hayan Basaniya, the son of Dr. Rajendra Basaniya, residing in the Housing Board area.
Another child from the same family was also injured in the incident.
According to hospital officials, several of the injured students are currently receiving treatment in the emergency ward, with some in critical condition.
Among the severely injured is Ranjan Nema, son of Rudra Nema, also from the Housing Board colony, who has been referred to Udaipur for advanced medical care due to his deteriorating condition.
This incident has left parents and relatives in deep shock, with worried family members flocking to the hospital after hearing the news.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident and whether any negligence was involved.
