On the morning of April 7, a suspected rocket or mortar attack in a residential area of Bishnupur district resulted in the tragic deaths of two innocent children. This incident has sparked significant public outrage in the valley regions, escalating tensions in the state. The heartbreaking event occurred in the village of Tronglaobi Awang Leikai in Moirang. The targeted home belonged to Border Security Force (BSF) personnel Oinam Malemangba, who is currently stationed outside the state. At the time of the attack, the family was inside their home. In the attack, Oinam's five-year-old son and a mere five-month-old infant were severely injured and succumbed to their injuries during treatment. His wife, 37-year-old Binita, is fighting for her life in the hospital due to serious shrapnel wounds.
