Tragic Road Accident in Bihar Claims Three Lives and Injures Nine

Devastating Collision Near Railway Crossing

Patna, June 29: A heartbreaking road accident occurred near the Angrezi Dhala railway crossing in the Singhaul police station area of Begusarai, Bihar, resulting in the deaths of three young men and leaving nine others injured, casting a shadow of sorrow over the Pokharia community.

The tragic incident took place late Sunday night when two SUVs collided head-on while traveling from opposite directions.

The force of the crash was so intense that both vehicles were extensively damaged, trapping passengers inside and creating a scene of panic and chaos.

The victims have been identified as Rishabh Kumar (26), son of Lalan Paswan from Pokharia Ward No. 37; Sunny Kumar (24), son of Baiju Sharma; and Himanshu Kumar (22), son of Chikku Sah alias Rajan from Ward No. 36.

According to police and local witnesses, six friends from Pokharia had embarked on a late-night journey in a Scorpio to take a holy dip in the Ganga River at Simaria.

As they neared Angrezi Dhala, their vehicle collided forcefully with another Scorpio coming from the opposite direction.

The high-speed impact resulted in severe damage to both vehicles.

The sound of the crash and the pleas for help attracted nearby residents, who quickly rushed to the scene to assist.

Local residents helped extricate the injured from the wreckage, and all were transported to hospitals for medical care, with eight individuals receiving treatment at a private facility.

Rishabh Kumar was a B.A. Part 1 student at SBS College and was the youngest of three brothers.

Sunny Kumar was the third of four brothers in his family.

This tragedy has profoundly impacted the Pokharia community. The victims were part of a wedding celebration, and what began as a joyful occasion swiftly turned into a scene of mourning.

Heartbreaking scenes unfolded at the homes of the deceased as family members were devastated by the news.

Upon learning of the incident, Singhaul police arrived at the scene, confiscated both damaged vehicles, and launched an investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident.
