Fatal Collision on National Highway-19

A devastating road accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Aurangabad district, Bihar. A severe head-on collision between an SUV and a truck on National Highway-19 resulted in the immediate deaths of three individuals, while seven others sustained serious injuries.


Details of the Incident

The incident took place near Dev Mor on National Highway-19. According to a police official, there were ten people in the SUV, who were returning to Dhanbad in Jharkhand after attending a relative's wedding in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh when the tragedy struck.


Identification of Victims

Authorities have identified two of the deceased as Tej Narayan Gupta and Vikas Kumar Chauhan, while the identity of the third victim remains unknown. Ashok Kumar, the station officer of Aurangabad Mufassil, confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.


Response from Police and Administration

The police have taken possession of the three bodies for post-mortem. The station officer reported that traffic was temporarily disrupted on the road following the accident, but it has since been restored. Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to locate the truck driver. Ashok Kumar stated, "The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the injured are receiving excellent care at the sadar hospital."
