Fatal Collision in Gauriganj

A devastating accident occurred on Sunday in the Gauriganj area of Amethi district, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving ten others injured. According to police reports, four of the injured are in critical condition.

The incident took place on the Raebareli-Sultanpur highway near Bani Babuganj Sagra, where a dense fog led to a head-on collision between a state-run bus and a car.

The deceased have been identified as Deepak Singh (45) from Gauriganj and Rituraj Yadav (35) from Kaushambi, both of whom died at the scene. The ten injured individuals have been transported to the district hospital in Gauriganj for medical treatment.

SHO Shyam Narayan Pandey of Gauriganj police station confirmed that all injured parties are receiving care at the district hospital, with four suffering from serious injuries. He also mentioned that the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
