Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Four Police Officers in Haryana
Devastating Incident in Nuh District
A severe road accident in Nuh district, Haryana, on Tuesday has plunged the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh into deep mourning. Four police officers from Jalaun were on a mission related to a kidnapping case when their Scorpio vehicle lost control while attempting to overtake another car on the expressway, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. Tragically, five individuals, including two sub-inspectors, Satyabhan and Mohit Yadav, along with constables Pradeep and Ashok, lost their lives at the scene.
Upon receiving news of the accident, a wave of grief swept through the police department. On Wednesday morning, the bodies of the deceased officers were brought to the police line in Urai, where the atmosphere was filled with sorrow. Fellow officers were visibly emotional as they gathered to pay their last respects. At around 10 AM, the fallen officers were honored with a final salute, complete with state honors.
Several senior officials were present during the ceremony, including DG Alok Singh, IG of Jhansi Range Akash Kulhari, Jalaun's Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar Singh, District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey, and Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ishaan Soni. They paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
After the final salute, the bodies of the police officers were dispatched to their native villages, where they will be cremated with full honors and rituals. A large number of officers and personnel attended the farewell to honor their fallen comrades.
What Led to the Accident?
According to reports, the Jalaun SOG and surveillance team were traveling in a Scorpio towards Haryana. While attempting to overtake another vehicle on the expressway in the Nuh district, their Scorpio lost control and collided violently with an oncoming vehicle. The impact was so severe that the Scorpio was completely wrecked, resulting in the immediate deaths of all five occupants.
