Tragic Reactor Explosion in Hyderabad Claims Lives and Injures Many

A devastating explosion at Sigachi Chemicals in Pashamailaram, Hyderabad, has left six workers feared dead and around 20 injured. The incident, which occurred on Monday morning, triggered a massive fire and prompted immediate rescue efforts. Eyewitnesses reported the blast's force was so intense that it hurled workers several meters away. Rescue teams are currently working to clear debris and search for any trapped individuals. Devastating Blast at Chemical Factory


Hyderabad, June 30: A catastrophic explosion at a chemical facility in Pashamailaram, located near Hyderabad, has left six workers presumed dead and injured around 20 others on Monday morning.


The blast occurred around 9 a.m. at Sigachi Chemicals, situated in the Sangareddy district, resulting in a significant fire that engulfed the factory premises. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene, deploying eleven fire engines to combat the flames.


Rescue and relief efforts were initiated by police and fire services, with ambulances present to transport the injured to nearby hospitals.


Victims were taken to both government and private medical facilities, with reports indicating that some individuals are in critical condition.


While six workers are feared to have died at the site, one injured worker reportedly passed away in the hospital. However, officials have yet to confirm these fatalities.


Witnesses described the explosion's force as so powerful that it hurled workers into the air, causing them to land several meters away. The manufacturing unit itself collapsed due to the blast, and the fire spread to adjacent buildings within the factory.


Many of the workers present were near the reactor at the time of the explosion, including migrant laborers from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and other states.


The incident caused widespread panic among employees in the chemical plant and neighboring factories, prompting them to flee the area.


Rescue teams are utilizing earthmovers to clear debris from the collapsed structure, as there are concerns that some workers might be trapped beneath it.


Sangareddy District Collector P. Pravinya and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj arrived at the scene to oversee the ongoing rescue and relief operations.


Personnel from various industrial units and different departments have also joined the efforts to assist in the rescue.
