Tragic Murder of Woman by Lover: Police Capture Suspect

In a shocking incident, a woman was murdered by her lover who entered her home and strangled her before fleeing the scene. The police launched a manhunt and apprehended the suspect, Aslam Ansari, also known as Aslam Khan, during a confrontation later in the evening.

The accused, a resident of Sikandar Pur Patti, admitted to the crime during police questioning, revealing that the murder occurred following a dispute. He is set to be presented in court on Friday and will be remanded to jail.

Details of the Case

The incident took place in Baldevpuri, located in the Katghar area. The victim, a mother of four, lived with her family. Her husband reported that she was attending a wedding in a nearby village on Wednesday and had planned to stay overnight due to the cold weather.

Around 7:30 PM on Wednesday, she called her husband to inquire about a charger, and later, at 8:15 PM, she informed him that she would not return home that night due to unsafe road conditions.

Children's Discovery

The following morning, the husband learned of his wife's murder from her brother. Upon returning home, the children revealed that Aslam Khan had been visiting their home for the past year and had threatened them if they opposed him. He had arrived at their house that night, locked the children in a room, and taken their mother upstairs.

The children heard their mother's voice until about 9 PM but were unable to reach her due to the locked door. When they called out to her the next morning, there was no response. They eventually opened a window and called for help, prompting a neighbor to unlock the door. Tragically, they found their mother lifeless beside the bed.

Police Investigation

Upon receiving news of the murder, the local police, including the Circle Officer, forensic teams, and other officials, arrived at the scene. Initial investigations indicated that the woman had been strangled, a finding confirmed by the autopsy report.

In response, two police teams were dispatched to locate the suspect. Later that evening, authorities learned that he was attempting to escape. The police tracked him down to a precise location, where he opened fire upon seeing them. In return, the police fired back, injuring him in the leg. He was subsequently taken to the hospital, and a firearm along with a motorcycle was seized from him.
