Mahoba Murder Case: Authorities have revealed details surrounding the murder of Priyanka Raikwar. After a police encounter, two individuals were arrested. Investigations indicated that the boyfriend, distressed over his girlfriend's impending marriage to someone else, conspired with his friend to commit the crime. This incident followed the revelation of their relationship, which led to the girlfriend's previous partner leaving her.

Discovery of the Victim's Body

The body of the victim was discovered in a forested area of Subhash Nagar on April 14, causing widespread alarm. Priyanka Raikwar was identified as the deceased, with her wedding scheduled for July 8. The post-mortem report confirmed that she had been strangled. The victim's family filed a complaint against two young men, alleging their involvement in the murder.

Confrontation with the Suspects

Following the incident, police intensified their search for the suspects. During a routine check on the Dahra Road, officers encountered two suspicious individuals on a motorcycle. When stopped, the suspects opened fire on the police, prompting a return of gunfire. In the exchange, Inspector Manish Pandey was grazed by a bullet, sustaining minor injuries, while both suspects were shot in the legs. This confrontation occurred around 1:09 AM on Tuesday, and the injured were subsequently taken to the district hospital.

SP Shashank Singh disclosed that the accused, Sumit Singh, had been in a romantic relationship with the victim. However, after Sumit's marriage, tensions arose when his wife discovered the affair, leading her to leave him. Sumit, distressed by his girlfriend's upcoming marriage to another man, lured her under the pretense of a conversation and ultimately strangled her with a scarf.

Reports indicate that the victim left her home alone after 2 AM. When her family awoke, she was missing. After searching, they found her body approximately 300 meters from their home, near a hill. The victim's face bore signs of trauma, and her eyes were notably injured.

Law enforcement officials recovered several items from the suspects, including the victim's mobile phone, three additional phones, a motorcycle, and two firearms along with ammunition. Investigations are ongoing.
