Tragic Loss: Odisha's Prashant Satpathy Killed in Kashmir Terror Attack

The tragic death of Prashant Satpathy, a 41-year-old from Balasore, Odisha, has left his community in deep sorrow. Killed in a terrorist attack while on vacation in Pahalgam, his body was returned home, prompting tributes from the Chief Minister, who pledged financial assistance and job support for Satpathy's family. Community in Mourning as Prashant Satpathy's Body Returns Home


The body of 41-year-old Prashant Satpathy, hailing from Balasore district in Odisha, was brought back to Bhubaneswar airport late Wednesday night after he was tragically killed in a terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir. His remains reached Isani village early Thursday morning, leading to widespread grief within the community.


In a show of solidarity, the Chief Minister of Odisha paid his respects to Satpathy in Balasore and announced a financial aid package of Rs 20 lakh for the grieving family. Additionally, he promised a government job for Satpathy's widow and support for their son's education.


It is important to note that Satpathy was an employee at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) in Balasore. He was on vacation in Pahalgam when he was fatally shot by terrorists.
