Tragic Leopard Attack Claims Farmer's Life in Bijnor District

In a tragic event in Bijnor district, a farmer was killed by a leopard while returning home from a dairy. The incident occurred near Basta, prompting local authorities to take action. Leopard Attack in Bijnor

A tragic incident occurred in Bijnor district where a farmer lost his life due to a leopard attack, as reported by local authorities on Saturday.


The attack took place on Friday evening near Basta in the Chandpur police jurisdiction. Kamaljeet Singh, a 52-year-old resident of Sansarpur, was returning home after delivering milk to a local dairy when he was viciously attacked by the leopard that emerged from the nearby fields.


According to Station House Officer Sanjay Kumar, the leopard fled into the forest following the attack. Upon hearing the commotion, villagers rushed to the scene and transported Kamaljeet to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.


The police have stated that an autopsy of the deceased is currently being conducted. Forest Ranger Dushyant Kumar mentioned that efforts are underway to capture the leopard as soon as possible.
