Tragic Incidents in Jharkhand: Two Lives Lost Due to Heavy Rain
Fatalities and Injuries from Collapsed Homes
In the Dumka district of Jharkhand, two separate incidents caused by heavy rainfall resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left one person injured on Friday morning, according to police reports.
Authorities revealed that in the Hansdiha police station area, a house collapsed in the village of Bamanakheta, leading to the death of a 10-year-old boy, while his older sister sustained injuries. Prakash Singh, the officer in charge of Hansdiha, stated that the children were inside their home when the wall of their mud and brick house fell on them while breakfast was being prepared.
He mentioned, 'Local residents managed to remove the debris to rescue the children. One child was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other injured child was transported to Deoghar for medical treatment.'
The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar, and his sister, Masoom Kumari, aged 14, was injured in the incident. Additionally, Rajendra Yadav, the officer in charge of the Saraiyahat police station, reported that a wall collapse in the village of Beludih within the Saraiyahat area resulted in the death of a 92-year-old man named Tilli Marik.
