Traffic Constable's Fatal Fall at Mulund Station

A traffic police constable lost his balance while traveling on a local train and fell onto the platform at Mulund Station, resulting in his death. Authorities have identified the deceased as Devidas Saste, who was assigned to the Sahar traffic division.

According to police reports, Saste had been suffering from severe heart disease, with four blockages in his heart. He had been on medical leave from August 7 to November 25, during which he underwent angiography at Fortis Hospital in Kalyan.

After showing signs of recovery, he returned to work on November 26. Following the completion of his duties, Saste was on his way home to Kalyan in Thane district via local train. He was standing by the train's door when he suddenly lost his balance as the train arrived at Mulund, leading to his fall onto the platform. Officials stated that two fellow constables who were with him rushed him to Agarwal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the medical staff.
