A shocking incident has emerged from Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a family faced dire consequences after filing a complaint against their village head for corruption and irregularities. Allegedly angered by the complaint, the village head and his supporters launched a deadly attack on the complainant's brother, resulting in his death during treatment. This incident has created a tense atmosphere in the area, prompting police to register a case against the accused and intensify efforts to apprehend them.
Details of the Attack
The attack took place in Bhitoura village, located in the Shivgarh police jurisdiction. Balwant Singh, a resident of Bhitoura, had lodged a complaint regarding irregularities and corruption against the village head, which was under investigation. Following this complaint, the village head and his associates reportedly developed a grudge against Balwant Singh's family.
Brutal Assault
On Tuesday evening, Jaswant Singh, Balwant's brother, was returning home from Shivgarh market with vegetables when he was ambushed by the village head and his accomplices near the village. The attackers brutally assaulted Jaswant with sticks and sharp weapons, leaving him severely injured. After the assault, the assailants fled the scene.
Tragic Outcome
Upon learning of the incident, family members rushed to the scene and took Jaswant Singh to the community health center in Lambhua. Due to his critical condition, doctors referred him to Sultanpur Medical College, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
Serious Allegations from the Victim's Family
Balwant Singh, the deceased's brother, has accused the village head of orchestrating the attack as retaliation for the complaint. He claims that the assailants executed the attack in a premeditated manner. Following the incident, police acted swiftly, registering a case based on the victim's family's complaint and are actively pursuing the suspects.

Bridg Narayan Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police in Sultanpur, confirmed that a case has been filed and efforts are underway to locate all suspects. He assured that the police would apprehend the culprits soon and take strict action.
